Wadeville Licensing Centre to go cash-free

Licensing centre’s in the metro are moving to a cash-free environment for payments.

The disadvantages associated with the handling and keeping of large amounts of cash have prompted the metro to adopt a cash-free system in its licensing centres.

The pilot project was run at the Kempton Park Licensing Centre which went cash-free on April 1.

The intention is to roll-out the system to all the metro’s licensing centres.

The following licensing centres will be cash-free zones with effect from August 1:

• Wadeville

• Alberton

• Boksburg

Only bank cards, such as debit and credit cards, will be accepted for payments.
