Easy ways not to become a victim of a traffic light robbery:

• Snap out of your daily routine and pay attention to people loitering around your car. The longer you are stationary, the greater the risk becomes.

• Before coming to a stop, check your surroundings for anyone or anything that looks out of place. Do not be afraid to make eye contact with the people around you.

• Do not allow yourself to be distracted by your phone when on the road.
