Ahgie-festival set to delight community

Another fun-filled Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston Ahgie-festival will be held at the school on August 3.

The much-loved annual Ahgie-festival will once again be held at Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston on August 3.

The event, which has boasted huge support from the community in previous years, will be held on the school’s sports grounds, in Sinclair Road, Lambton.

There will be something to do for all ages, with the activities running from 8am to 4pm.

Guests attending the event can enjoy a host of activities including a flea market with a variety of stalls, a dog show by Paws and the EMPD K9 Unit, a show by a Volkspele group, a SANDF exhibition, wrestling, the ever popular House of Horrors, a boot camp, live entertainment, a host of games and lots more.

Attendees can also treat themselves to a tasty treat from a number of food stalls on offer or relax in the tea garden.

Senior citizens (70 years and older) can enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea and something sweet to eat in the tea garden.

A nominal fee will be charged for entrance and parking.

Heavenly Flowers School will once again be holding their Mr and Miss Heavenly Flowers 2019 competition during the festival.

The competition has four age categories, namely three months to a year old, one to three years old, four to six years old and seven to 12 years old.
