Update – Brits’ inquest to continue in October

Christo and Marchelle Brits hope an inquest into the death of their daughter Celia will help them find closure.

Celia Brits died in the Life Roseacres Hospital in March 2016.

Following her death, the state opened an inquest to determine which incidents resulted in the cause of death and whether anyone should be held responsible.

The inquest proceedings are underway in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and last Thursday in Magistrate M Dawray’s chambers dates were set for the next court session.

The next court dates are scheduled for October 2, 3 and 4.

This will be the second half of the inquest which is being heard by Dawray.
