The Elsburg SAPS has nabbed five suspects who are allegedly linked to the robbery and multiple shooting that took place in Klippoortjie Park during a business robbery recently.
It is alleged that 11 suspects robbed the store in the early hours of June 1.
The incident turned fatal for two shoppers, a man and a woman.
According to William Ntladi, district manager media liaison for Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Services, the victims were found motionless on the floor inside the local supermarket by paramedics.

“Three suspects were arrested on Wednesday and appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Friday on charges of business robbery and murder,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg police.
“They were remanded in Elsburg custody pending their next court appearance on July 23.
“The Elsburg SAPS Trio Task Team apprehended two other suspects on Friday night.
“The two appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court last Monday on the same charges as their alleged accomplices.”
