Train derails in Rondebult, injuring commuters
Patients were treated for minor injuries after a train derailed.
Netcare 911 responded to the scene of a train derailment on Saturday in Rondebult.
The incident occurred at 11.24pm.
Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer for Netcare Limited, said, “Reports from the scene indicated that a train en route to Durban had derailed.
“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that an unknown number of commuters had sustained minor injuries.”
The patients were treated on scene and transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
