Katlehong police net eight suspects

Katlehong police share their latest successes.

Eight suspects were arrested during several stop-and-search operations held in Katlehong.

The operations were held by members of the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, with the help of detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.

The operations are aimed at curbing crime and increasing police visibility in the area.

The accused were charged with several different offences.

Charges included murder, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property, theft, dealing in drugs and possession of drugs.

Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Thambo was pleased with the arrests made and encouraged officers to keep up their hard work.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
