Thirty-five-year-old suspect behind bars for drug dealing

Quick response by Elsburg police leads to the arrest of an alleged drug dealer.

The Elsburg SAPS successfully apprehended a 35-year-old Buhle Park man last Sunday morning on charges of drug possession and drug dealing.

This followed an anonymous tip-off which the officers received while on patrol in the area.

“Once the officers arrived at the address provided by the anonymous caller, they found a man allegedly selling drugs, with a street value of R1 000,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg police.

“The suspect was arrested immediately and taken to the Elsburg Police Station.”

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
