Elsburg CPF to be led by new executive committee

The Elsburg CPF recently held its AGM.

The Elsburg CPF recently held its AGM in the Elsburg Police Station’s boardroom.

A new executive committee was elected at the meeting which saw Elsburg Police Station commander Col Linah Ntombizini Thethe, Elsburg CPF members from all three sectors, MEC for Community Safety Khehla Khambule, as well as local SAPS officers in attendance.

All selected committee members will serve in their respective positions for the term of five years.

The newly appointed committee is as follows:

• Chairperson: Johan Lourens

• Deputy chairperson: André Bester

• Secretary: Margaret Sekul

• Deputy secretary: Sandra Kali

• Treasurer: Carol Potgieter

• Deputy treasurer: Mel Sweeney

• Public relations officer: Lazarus Matela

Additional members:

• André Bester

• Lukas Lewis

• Simon Ledwaba

The committee pledged to work together with the Elsburg police in the fight against crime.

Thethe congratulated the newly appointed executive committee of the Elsburg CPF.

She added that she is looking forward to working hand in hand with the committee to make the area a safer place for the community and to reduce crime in the Elsburg policing area.
