Germiston South was shocked to the core on Wednesday morning when a double murder occurred. At about 5.25am, on the corner of Joubert and Selkirk streets, a man aged approximately 30, was shot by an unknown assailant.
REMINDER: Many Germiston suburbs to be without power tomorrow
Large parts of Germiston were without power on Thursday (June 6). The planned power interruption allowed metro technicians a chance to upgrade the electrical network.
Bullying in the spotlight at Laerskool Oosterkruin Primary
Laerskool Oosterkruin Primary held an Anti-Bullying Week from May 20 to 24. The week started with an assembly on the Monday for Grade One to Three learners and one on the Tuesday for the Grade Four to Seven learners, with Rev Wimpie van Schoor from the Nederduits Hervormde Kerk Primrose-Oos.
