Seven injured when cars collide, crashing into pedestrians in Katlehong

Netcare 911 responded to an accident scene in Katlehong.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to reports of a collision in Katlehong on Saturday.

The incident took place at 4.14pm on the corner of AM Hlogwane and AP Khumalo streets in Katlehong.

“Reports from the scene indicated that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision and then crashed into pedestrians,” said Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer for Netcare Limited.

“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that seven people had sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious and some required advanced life support intervention to stabilise them.”

Once treated, all the patients were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
