REMINDER: Many Germiston suburbs to be without power tomorrow

Essential electrical maintenance planned for Germiston on June 6.

Large parts of Germiston will be without power on Thursday (June 6) from 7am to 5pm.

The planned power interruption will allow metro technicians a chance to upgrade the electrical network.

“This is one of the metro’s plans to minimise the number of electrical equipment failures affecting Germiston and surrounding areas.

“The electrical equipment set to be upgraded supplies power to 10 substations,” explained Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro.
