DEMS races to motorcycle crash in Primrose

A motorcyclist tragically died in a crash in Oak Avenue, Primrose.

Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) rescue crews from the Primrose Fire Station rushed to the scene of an accident in Oak Avenue, Primrose, on Saturday.

“It is alleged that a motorcyclist lost control of his bike and crashed,” said William Ntladi, district manager media liaison for DEMS.

“The Primrose rescue crews responded promptly to the scene and upon arrival found a male motorcyclist, who was about 20 years old, lying on the road.”

Assessment and treatment commenced, but he was declared dead on scene by paramedics.

The fatal crash is under investigation by the EMPD.
