Mothers adored at intimate high tea

Germiston Rotary Anns hosts a cosy afternoon of spoils and health talks to honour mothers.

The Germiston Rotary Anns held one of their fund-raising initiatives last Saturday.

This time, the organisation sought to spoil mothers with a delightful social event ahead of Mother’s Day.

Enjoying warm meals and drinks at the Germiston Rotary Anns’ Mother’s Day High Tea are Sonja Willis and Megon Beukes.

Held at Simply Majestic Restaurant, the Mother’s Day High Tea saw mothers, daughters and grandmothers flock in, dressed to the nines, to enjoy an afternoon of bliss.

The afternoon was not only dedicated to mothers but to women’s health as well.

Paraskevi and Anthea Couvaras enjoyed a girls’ day out in Lambton last Saturday, at the Mother’s Day High Tea, hosted by the Germiston Rotary Anns.

The guest speaker, Brenda Stern, gave a spine-chilling talk about her journey in beating breast cancer, in which she urged the women to prioritise their health amidst everything going on in their lives.

“If I can save one life by getting women to check their breasts, then I have paid forward the help and support I received,” she said.

Nadine James and her mom Maria Ueckermann enjoyed an afternoon of bliss at the Mother’s Day High Tea hosted by the Germiston Rotary Anns, in Lambton, last Saturday.

All proceeds raised on the day will be used to fund different community-based projects, such as feeding schemes, run by the women of the organisation.
