#IMadeMyMark: Afrikaanse Hoërskool learners set to make their mark

Sandise Tobose and Jessica Raynard, matric learners at Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston, share their reasons for voting.

The elections are just days away and voters will take to the polls.

For Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston learners Sandise Tobose and Jessica Raynard these elections will be their first.

The pair recently shared their reasons for voting with the GCN.

“This will be my first time at the polls,” said Sandise.

“I think it is important for the youth to vote because I believe every vote helps make a difference in the country.

“They help shape the future.”

Sandise believes the youth should learn to exercise their rights more and help build the country.

Jessica believes it is her responsibility to vote.

“I think it is my responsibility as a youth to vote in order to help facilitate change in the country,” she said.

“I think the more people who vote the more diversity it will bring to the elections and hopefully bring with it maybe not a new party, but more diversity to the parties in power.”
