Help Rest-a-While make up food hampers for the elderly

Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Elderly is calling on the community to donate items to their Winter Food Drive campaign.

Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Elderly recently launched their Winter Food Drive campaign.

They are urging the community to get involved and to help them collect food and other items to make up parcels for those in need.

“Please help us collect blankets, non-perishable groceries, tinned food, coffee, tea, powdered milk and toiletries for both men and women so we can make winter hampers for our needy elderly.

“Let’s all open our hearts and share the gift of giving,” said the centre’s manager, Trudy Carreira.

Donations can be dropped off at Rest-a-While’s offices, on the corner Churchill Avenue and Shamrock Road, between 8am and 1pm (Monday to Friday) and arrangements can be made for collection of donations that cannot be dropped off.
