Primrose police promote a safer learning environment

Primrose police spend time with the learners of Primrose Hill Primary School.

Officers from the Primrose Police Station recently visited the learners of Primrose Hill Primary School to teach them more about substance abuse and sexual offences.

The officers were joined on their visit by representatives from Christ Embassy Church, Silkworth Recovery Care Centre and members of the Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk.

The learners listened to educational talks by Austin Govender (from Silkworth Recovery Care Centre), Angela Baloyi (from the youth desk), Anastatia Kheswa (from Christ Embassy Church) and Const Jelta Malemela (from the Primrose Police Station).

Throughout the visit the team promoted a safer learning environment and encouraged the learners to respect their teachers, their school and themselves and to always think before they act.

The day ended with a performance by members of the youth desk, aimed at educating the learners about the different sexual offences there are.
