Several Germiston suburbs left in darkness

The metro's Energy Department estimates that power will be restored to affected areas by 2pm.

Several suburbs in Germiston were plunged into darkness last night (Wednesday).

LamDel Residents Association (RA) stated on the organisation’s Facebook page that power had been restore to several areas in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

The areas affected by the outage include, but are not limited to:

• Airport Park

• Rand Airport

• Denlee

• Elandshaven

• Parts of Lambton

• Parkhill Gardens

• Wadville

“The metro’s Energy Department is aware of power outage and estimates that power will be restored by 2pm,” said Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan.

No reason has been given for the outage.
