#IMadeMyMark: Gauteng government to lead election prayer

Thousands to pray for peaceful elections.

More than 5 000 leaders of faith will gather at Emperors Palace to heed a call by Gauteng Premier David Makhura to pray for peaceful elections.

The event takes place on April 11 from 9am.

The prayer day will ensure that the Gauteng City Region (GCR) advances social cohesion and the spirit of unity during the forthcoming elections.

Thousands of citizens, including members of faith-based organisations such as Christians, Apostolic, Anglican, Zion, Islamic, Hindu, Jewish, Rastafarian and traditional healers will come together to pray for free and peaceful elections.
