Hijacked Mercedes-Benz found locked in garage in Sunnyrock

EMPD SWAT Unit members recover hijacked vehicle.

An EMPD SWAT Unit member was informed by a vehicle tracking company about a white Mercedes-Benz GLA which was hijacked on the N3 highway near Alberton, last Saturday at 5.35am.

The vehicle was allegedly hijacked by bogus policemen using blue lights and sirens.

Guided by the GPS coordinates of the hijacked vehicle’s movements, the tracking company member, together with Const Quinton Steenberg of the EMPD SWAT Unit, located the vehicle at Pinehurst Flats in Sunnyrock.

The coordinates pointed to the hijacked vehicle being in a locked garage.
