“Every painting was a masterpiece in its own way,” said Theresa de Villiers.

The painters were treated to cake and tea after they had finished their paintings.

All elderly members from Primrose and surrounding areas are invited to join in the fun at the centre and future workshops.

“Other activities on the calendar include a games morning, jewellery-making workshop, beadwork-making workshop, needlework workshop and decoupage workshop, just to name a few,” said Trudy Carreira, manager of Rest-a-While.

She appealed to the community to donate paint, paintbrushes, beads and games such as dominoes, Scrabble and playing cards.
