A raid on a suspected drug dealer’s house in Primrose by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit, at 5.15pm on Tuesday, resulted in a huge ammunition discovery.

The officers discovered a stolen 6.35 Melion pistol, a gas pistol, 11 different magazines and over 349 live rounds of ammunition for various firearms, including an R5 rifle and a .22 rifle, in the house in Violet Street.

Ammunition for the following firearms was found: a .223 Rem, a 9mm, a .45 ACP, a shotgun, a .40 S&W, a .38 SPL revolver, a 6.35, a .22 rifle and a .22 Magnum.

The 6.35 Melion pistol, with its serial number still intact, is believed to have been stolen in Edenvale in September 1994.

He was expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
