Germiston SAPS target criminals

Germiston SAPS shares their successes.

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Germiston Police Station, 53 suspects were arrested between March 18 and 25.

The accused were arrested for various offences, including:

• Shoplifting: 2

• Fraud: 3

• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 9

• Malicious damage to property: 1

• Attempted murder: 1

• Theft: 2

• Reckless and negligent driving: 5

• Possession of drugs: 3

• Possession of suspected stolen property: 5

• Common Robbery: 1

• Murder: 1

• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 18

• Pointing of a firearm: 1

• Common assault: 1

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons, while others paid admission of guilt fines before being released.
