The EMPD has promoted 14 officers into vacant superintendent posts.
The important junior management level appointments will give vital assistance to the precinct commanders in the operations division, in order to ensure effective management and good service delivery.
Six of the newly-appointed superintendents conferred with their ranks recently are female.
All the appointees promoted are from within the EMPD.
They all completed an intensive and rigorous training programme in order to hone their managerial, technical and communication skills in preparation for their new responsibilities.
