Man dies after being stabbed in Marathon informal settlement

The Primrose police arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with a Marathon informal settlement murder.

A 27-year-old man was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed with a sharp object in the Marathon informal settlement in August 2018.

The victim died on arrival at the hospital.

The Primrose police launched an investigation following the incident and last Wednesday arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the murder after receiving a tip-off.

The man was taken to Primrose Police Station where he was formally charged.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where his case was postponed for a bail application.
