Stop-and-search yields results

Katlehong SAPS arrest four suspects in daily stop-and-search operation.

Katlehong SAPS continued their efforts to curb crime in the area with another stop-and-search operation.

The operation, held last Tuesday, was conducted by officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit.

Four suspects were arrested during the operation, all for assault.

Three were charged with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and the fourth for common assault.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for a number of different reasons.

Katlehong SAPS acting station commander Col Doctor Sibuyi appealed to the community to report crimes and criminal activities in the area and help police in the fight against crime.
