School is in full swing across the city.
With this in mind, the Primrose police recently launched their back-to-school campaign with a visit to Dawnview and Primrose high schools.
Officers from the Primrose Police Station and members of the Primrose SAPS Victim Empowerment Centre and Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk visited the school to address problems faced at the schools.

“The campaign aimed to remind learners why they go to school and to teach them more about discipline and the consequences of substance abuse,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
During the visits, Chaplain Elias Leholo shared his life story with the learners in the hope that they would learn from it.
After this, youth desk member Tshegofatso Maponya encouraged the learners to get involved in the fight against crime by joining the youth desk.
“We hope the learners benefited from our visit and will take the advice into consideration,” said Maome.
