Local football club celebrates matrics

Puma Rangers Football Club celebrated the results of the club’s three matrics and wished them well for the future.

Many matrics across the city celebrated the end of their high school careers.

Among them were local football club Puma Rangers’ Atylegang Komane, Lesley Matare and Gift Masete.

“The club’s chairperson and management send our heartfelt congratulations to the three who are players in our u-19 squad,” said Prince Rulashe, the club chairperson.

The trio did exceptionally well in their exams with Atylegang achieving five distinctions for mathematics, life orientation, English, drama and geography and Lesley achieving four distinctions for physical sciences, electrical engineering, life orientation and engineering graphics and design.

“We as a team are really proud of the players.

“I was worried because these players were always the first to arrive for practice and last to leave,” said Prince.

“I would have to chase them home from practice so they went home and studied.

“Their results show that sports and education really do go hand-in-hand.”

The club wish the trio all the best for their future endeavours.
