Man nabbed for Rietfontein Road business robbery

Primrose police apprehended a man for business break-in in Primrose.

A 33-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police on a charge of business break-in.

The crime was reported to police by a Rietfontein Road business owner who claimed he locked up his store in the evening and when he went to reopen it in the morning he discovered the side door had been forced open.

“A TV, CCTV recorder, a laptop, liquor and cigarettes, to the value of R280 000, had been stolen,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

His case has since been postponed for plea and trial.
