Girl Guides, Brownies assist the community

Girl Guides and Brownies have been busy with a number of community events.

The last month has been filled with interesting events for the First Germiston Girl Guides and Brownies.

They have been out and about giving back to their community.

One of the events the Brownies and Guides hosted was a Cupcakes for Cancer evening to raise funds for cancer awareness and research.

Girl Guides and Brownies held a community service project recently where they gave trolley assistants tea and sandwiches.

They brought along their friends and family to share in the fun and raised R430.

The girls each decorated cupcakes which were then presented to their friends and family with either a cup of coffee or tea.

As part of their community service, the girls recently made tea and sandwiches for the trolley assistants at SPAR.

This was the girls’ way of showing appreciation for the sometimes thankless work that these people do.

The Girl Guides are looking for two Guide leaders to assist in 2019.

All training will be provided.
