Residents in a number of streets in Primrose are still sitting in the dark.
This is the fifth day they have had to deal with no electricity.
Streets affected include, but are not limited to, Beaconsfield Avenue, Myrtle Road, Pansy Road, Anemone Road, Cosmos Road, Larkspur Road, Lily Road and Edlaw Street.
Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan told the GCN said the energy department communicated with her and said that they are having huge challenges with the power in the area.

“The department has managed to source the equipment and it is being transported.
“Once it arrives it will be installed and if all goes according to schedule it is estimated that the power will be restored by 5pm,” Morgan said.
Morgan added that due to the power being off in the area, Dawnview residents now have no water as the booster pump at the reservoir is affected by the power outage.
A water tanker has been arranged for the area.
