Keep safe as the festive season approaches

Primrose police appeal to the community to be careful and increase security.

Primrose police have noted an increase in the number of violent crimes being reported.

“Crimes, where excessive force is used such as hijackings, business robberies and house robberies, have started to increase,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

With this in mind, and as the festive season gets closer, the police have sent a stern warning to the community to be more careful.

“Community members need to increase their security wherever possible and always be alert and aware of their surroundings,” said Maome.

“We are also appealing to the community to be careful when entering or leaving their premises.”

Maome advised that residents should, whenever possible, have someone waiting for them when they arrive home, especially in the evenings.
