The Primrose police are appealing to parents to keep a close eye on their children.
The warning comes after police have noted an increase in the number of rape and statutory rape cases being reported, especially in the informal settlements and Primrose East.

“Parents need to take care of their children,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
“Parents need to ensure that their children do not walk alone in the dark or in secluded areas.”
