#ALERT – Know your load shedding schedule as stage one load shedding is in progress

Stage one rotational load shedding was implemented on Thursday. Eskom confirmed that the load shedding would be implemented until 10pm.

The Primrose police urge the community to be on the lookout for several suspicious-looking vehicles as they are believed to be used in the commission of crimes in the area.

‘Diabetes is a lifestyle condition’

Community service dietitian at Bertha Gxowa Hospital, Joan Akob, was the driving force behind launching the hospital’s first Diabetes Support Group. Launched in March, the support group had their year-end party on November 14 just as the world was observing World Diabetes Day.

State-of-the-art building helps urban renewal of Germiston

Construction of the metro’s state-of-the-art building, which will house some of the municipality’s departments, is taking shape in the Germiston CBD. The building, which, once it is finished, will stand as a modern landmark of Germiston, is rising on the corner of Spilsbury and Queen streets where the old SAAME building once stood.

The three most dangerous snakes on the East Rand

The warm weather means snakes will now be up and about after a long period of hibernation, hungry and in search of food. From mid-August until late May it is snake season.
