Principal of Laerskool Oosterkruin ‘arrested’, released on ‘bail’

Nicholis Stoltz planned an elaborate “arrest” in an effort to raise funds.

A young entrepreneur recently showed everyone that he knows how to make money for his upcoming SA jukskei tournament.

The tournament is taking place in Kroonstad in December.

“Sgt” Nicholis Stoltz, a Grade Five learner from Laerskool Oosterkruin, “arrested” his principal with the help and support of Sgt Pierre Willemse and Sgt Styles Maome from the Primrose Police Station. “Sgt” Nicholis held Chris Kruger (the principal) in a self-made jail and claimed payment of the bail money before he would set him free.

This event took place in the good spirit of the school’s 25th anniversary festival celebration.

The goal fund-raising amount was reached within 15 minutes demonstrating the high regard and respect that learners, parents, teachers and the community, have for the principal.

Nicholis thanks the principal for being such a good sport and supporting his initiative.

He is also grateful to everybody who participated in his mock arrest, and all who contributed money towards his jukskei fund.

He appreciated the Primrose police’s support, not only for their help, but also for highlighting how much they care for learners and members of the community in both good and bad times.
