Man nabbed for pointing a firearm

Primrose police arrest man for pointing a firearm in Makause informal settlement.

A Makause informal settlement man recently opened a case at the Primrose Police Station.

He claimed that a 33-year-old man, whom he knew, had pointed a firearm at him.

“The complaint alleged that he was home drinking when he noticed the accused opening his gate and walking towards him.

“He asked what the man wanted, but he reportedly didn’t answer, and walked out of the yard,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The accused reportedly then stood outside the gate, pulled out a firearm, and pointed it at the victim before leaving.

Using the description given by the complaint the man was traced and arrested and charged with pointing a firearm.

He will be detained at the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
