Breaking News: Parts of Rietfontein and Shamrock roads, in Primrose, closed due to active crime scene

Motorists travelling in Primrose were urged to avoid Shamrock and Rietfontein roads as sections of the roads had been closed due to an active crime scene, on Wednesday. According to Sgt Styles Maome, the communications officer for the Primrose SAPS, it is alleged that an armed robbery took place at a business in Shamrock Road.

Update: Two nabbed, three escape in Shamrock Road armed robbery

Two men, aged 24 and 26, were arrested while three escaped following an armed robbery at a business in Shamrock Road, in Primrose, on Wednesday. “It is reported that the five suspects, two armed with firearms, entered a store at around 10am and loaded two bags with laptops and cellphones,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Primrose police arrested a 27-year-old man on a charge of domestic violence recently after he allegedly beat his girlfriend with a wooden stick in Northridge Avenue, in Sunnyridge.
