Man allegedly kills girlfriend, hands himself over to police

Woman murdered during alleged fight with her boyfriend.

A 38-year-old man was arrested after he handed himself over to the Zonkizizwe police recently for the murder of his girlfriend.

The murder took place in a house in Zone Two in Zonkizizwe.

The police had earlier that morning received a complaint of murder.

Upon arrival on the scene, police officers found a 28-year-old woman dead with multiple injuries to her body.

A case of murder was registered at the police station for immediate investigation.

“Later during the investigations, it emerged that the suspect had had an argument with the deceased in the house,” said Sgt Rufus Tema.

“A fight allegedly ensued which resulted in the multiple injuries and ultimate death of the woman.”
