Germiston High proud of Maths whizzes

Germiston High School learners shine in the annual Mathematics Olympiad.

Several Germiston High School learners tackled the challenging 2018 Mathematics Olympiad, recently.

Sinalo Thomas, Shakira Bolelo, Ofentse Malope, Akanyang Mathsabe and Tinenyasha Sibanda represented the school in several levels of the competition.

But it was Grade Eight learners Sinalo and Ofentse who progressed through the district levels to the provincial competition.

Sinalo placed second in the competition with Ofentse walking away with the top position and being named Maths Olympiad champion for the Gauteng province.

Teachers Aphiwe Radebe and Given Hlalele were thrilled with their learners’ performances.

They were both thanked for their hard work and dedication in ensuring that the learners were ready for the competition.
