Hijacked vehicle recovered in Primrose

Primrose police nabbed three suspects for possession of a hijacked vehicle, which was recovered in Ebony Road.

The Primrose police arrested three men, aged between 22 and 40 years old, recently.

The men, who were arrested on a charge of possession of a hijacked vehicle, where nabbed following a tip-off.

“Police received a tip-off that stolen goods were being kept on premises in Ebony Road, Primrose.

“On arrival they found the three accused working on one of several vehicles parked on the premises,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

During an inspection of the vehicle it was discovered that is had been hijacked in Malvern and that the Cleveland police had opened a case following its theft.

The men were taken to the Primrose Police Station where they will be held pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.

“After their appearance in court they will be handed over to the Cleveland police to face a charge of hijacking,” said Maome.
