West Pack Lifestyle The Reef opens its doors
Germiston residents participated in the famous West Pack Lifestyle trolley dash, as West Pack Lifestyle The Reef opened its doors.
Germiston residents flocked to the highly anticipated grand opening of The Reef Shopping Centre, in Dinwiddie, on Thursday.
At West Pack Lifestyle The Reef’s exciting opening there was a great deal in store for shoppers.
After store owner Jose Dos Passos helped cut the ribbon to celebrate the store’s official opening, three lucky customers were selected to take part in West Pack Lifestyle’s famous trolley dash.
The customers, some of who had been waiting outside the store since 7am, each chose a coloured fun ball.
The three customers who chose the purple balls were later revealed to be the winners of the trolley dash.
The selected shoppers then had just 90 seconds to charge around the store grabbing anything that took their fancy.
The first trolley dash entry was awarded to an excited Charlene Nel, who was quick to grab a bit of everything – from crafts and stationery to children’s cups and plates.

The second trolley dash entrant, Gerrit van Rensburg, filled his trolley with cooler boxes, sweets and kitchen utensils.
While the third trolley dash entrant, Yvonne van Staden, got an exciting selection of goodies from glassware and kitchen essentials, to a variety of arts and crafts and paint supplies.
Each winner took home R1 500 worth of free products to celebrate West Pack Lifestyle’s grand opening.
All other customers at the store opening received a 7.5 per cent discount on their overall purchase, so no one went home empty handed.
