Germiston target criminals in their precinct

Germiston police share their arrest statistics.

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Germiston Police Station, 56 suspects were arrested between October 22 and 29.

The accused were arrested for various offences, including:

• Possession of stolen motor vehicle: 1

• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 20

• Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 4

• Rape: 1

• Theft: 2

• Shoplifting: 4

• Malicious damage to property: 2

• Fraud: 1

• Business break-in: 5

• Trespassing: 1

• Reckless and negligent driving: 2

• Possession of ammunition: 2

• Common assault: 2

• Possession of drugs: 3

• Possession of suspected stolen property: 1

• House break-in: 2

• Dealing in liquor without a licence: 2

• Armed robbery: 1

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
