Germiston’s Myrna celebrates her 91st birthday
Robyn Gilpin wishes her mother Myrna Venter a very happy birthday.
Myrna Mae Yvonne Venter celebrates her 91st birthday today (Wednesday, October 17).
This long-time resident of Germiston currently resides in Woodmere.
Myrna is the widow of Andy Venter, also a long-time, well-known resident of Germiston and Primrose.
They married in the Germiston Presbyterian Church on April 12, 1952, and had one daughter Robyn Gilpin.

The couple had a very happy marriage until Andy died on October 14, 1996.
“My mother is such an amazing lady. She has so many friends all around the country and keeps in touch with all of them, with some of her friendships going back more than 80 years,” said Robyn.
In her younger days Myrna enjoyed playing tennis, swimming and yoga and at the age of 91 she is still able to run her own home and cooks for herself and her daughter every day.

“She keeps herself busy which is probably her secret to a long life,” Robyn said.
“My mother is the best mom in the world and I love her unconditionally and with all my heart.”
Birthday wishes go out to Myrna and all who know and love her hope that she enjoys her day and is spoiled with lots of love.
