Rand Water appeals to consumers within its area of supply to use water sparingly

Technical challenges at Rand Water and expected high temperatures put pressure on consumers to use water moderately.

Due to technical challenges, the capacity at one of Rand Water’s main engine rooms has been reduced by 20 per cent.

“With temperatures expected to increase this week throughout our area of supply, we appeal to consumers to use water wisely as doing so will assist in alleviating pressure on the reduced capacity,” said Justice Mohale, media relations manager for Rand Water.

“We estimate that the engine room will be restored to its normal operating capacity within the next few days.”
