Technicians are scheduled to connect a new water pipeline on the corner of Main Reef and Stanley roads in Knights on October 2.
The work will take place between 9am and 3pm.
The upgrades will result in a water supply interruption which will affect the Knights industrial area.
To minimise the inconvenience to customers roaming water tankers will be made available to supply water to affected customers.
The metro apologises for the inconvenience to be caused.
