Top artists compete in Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards

Prestigious art competition to name its winners soon.

All hands are on deck to host this year’s edition of the colourful Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards.

The awards reward the excellence of contemporary fine art artists.

The metro is privileged to be associated with this national fine arts competition which bears the name of the acclaimed resistance movement artist Thami Mnyele, originally from Tembisa.

He gave a voice to the nation through his talent during a repressive period of the country.

The opening and prize-giving function of the exhibition will take place on September 29 at the Coen Scholtz Recreation Centre, on Mooifontein Road, in Kempton Park.

The exhibition will run from September 30 to October 13 from 9am to 5pm on weekdays and from 9am to 5pm on weekends.
