Community encouraged to attend LamDel Residents Association AGM

LamDel Residents Association invites residents and businesses to attend their AGM on September 29.

The LamDel Residents Association (RA) will be hosting their annual general meeting (AGM) on September 29.

Residents and businesses in the Delville, Denlee, Parkhill Gardens, Webber, Lambton, Klippoortjie North, Hazeldene and Hazelpark areas are invited to attend the meeting which will be held at Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston, located in Webber Road in Lambton, at 10am.

The LamDel RA was established in 2015 with a collective interest of over 5 000 homes and businesses.

The association aims to be the ‘middle-man’ between residents, the metro and councillors, who cannot be on every corner.

“We help with the logging of calls for bulk issues, keep track of the calls that both the residents and our team have logged and hold the various parties accountable for service delivery.

“We work closely with the ward councillors to get information to all our residents, and from the residents to the metro and councillors.

“We also keep a close eye on the developments within the community and lodge formal complaints with council,” explained Jakkie Janse van Vuuren, head of communications for LamDel RA.

LamDel RA believes there is strength in numbers and appeals to residents to become members of the association, to help them achieve their goals.

This year’s AGM will discuss achievements from the past year and on-going and future projects.

Ward 39 councillor Alta de Beer will also attend and present a synopsis of her year.

“We are also very happy that one of our sponsors, Pick n Pay, will be in attendance to help us with the prize draw for those who either joined LamDel, or renewed their membership between August 20 and September 29,” said Janse van Vuuren.
