Bragging rights for lamb winners

Pick n Pay Lambton handed over two lambs to two lucky raffle winners.

Alida Gerber and Sally Stephen got bragging rights after their names were recently pulled as lamb winners courtesy of Pick n Pay Lambton.

The two winners collected their respective lambs at the store on Friday morning.

The win came after they entered a raffle at the Afrikaanse Hoërskool Germiston to raise funds for Tyron Stevens to travel overseas to compete in a mixed martial arts competition.

Tyron recently excelled in the US Open International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) World Martial Arts Championships held in Orlando, Florida, in the USA.

He won two gold medals, one for continuous fighting and one in traditional weapons.

The Tebbutt’s Mixed Martial Arts Academy student also took third place in both Extreme Musical Weapons Class A Black Belt and in the Creative Form Extreme Musical Weapons Class A Black Belt.

Pick n Pay Lambton and Hazel Park also helped sponsor Tyron’s travels.
