Arstability Festival in Germiston to host Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Babsy Mlangeni and Steve Kekana

The internationally acclaimed Ladysmith Black Mambazo, together with the legendary Babsy Mlangeni and Steve Kekana will soon light up the Germiston Theatre stage.

The Germiston Theatre stage is set to host three of the music industry’s greatest acts to honour youth and women living with disabilities on Friday.

Sending the audience on a nostalgic musical journey with their greatest hits will be Ladysmith Black Mambazo, together with the legendary Babsy Mlangeni and Steve Kekana.

The festival will celebrate these icons for their extraordinary talent in the field of the arts.

Embrace the values of the Freedom Charter and reinforce the message that living with a disability is not a barrier to greatness.

The festival will be preceded by a music workshop led by legends Steve Kekana and Babsy Mlangeni on Thursday at the Germiston Theatre from 10am to 3pm.

They will specifically focus on artists living with disabilities and their challenges in the music industry.

The workshop will provide a platform for youth and women living with disabilities to share ideas with non-disabled people to eradicate stigmas associated with living with a disability.

The Artsability Festival will start at 7pm.

Tickets are currently available at Germiston Theatre and they will be on sale at the door.
