Thirty-three suspects nabbed by Primrose police

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

Officers from the Primrose Police Station arrested 33 suspects between August 2 and 8.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The accused were arrested for various offences.

Charges included hijacking of a motor vehicle, possession of drugs, possession of suspected stolen property, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, rape, attempted rape, driving under the influence of alcohol, murder, possession of live ammunition and a toy gun, theft, shoplifting, warrant of arrest and contempt of court.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the successful arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where some had their cases postponed for various reasons while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
